PATOKA LAKE
Whether you prefer to travel by land or by water, Patoka Lake has it all. Appreciate the fall foliage on a boat tour or explore the property on foot or bike and take the trails that are fit for anyone. AOCCVB_102014_A1391.jpg Patoka Lake Tour is offered every Wednesday from 10:00 am – Noon starting in April until the end of October. Specialty excursions including the Fall Foliage Wine Cruise are offered numerous times throughout September and October giving visitors the opportunity to unwind while taking in the view. The Carvers Are Back This Weekend!

This weekend the annual Block Bash is returning to town! Bring the family and watch as professional chainsaw wood carvers, known as The Bear Hollow Wood Carvers, compete to transform a log into an amazing sculpture and be named the best carver! The Bear Hollow Wood Carvers are leaders in the chainsaw carving industry, lead by award-winning carver Jason Emmons. Art on the Green

Falling on the second weekend in October, the 10th annual art show “Art on the Green” is bringing many of the areas local artisans together to show off their amazing talents. OCCVB_102014_A0285Pottery, glass arts, leatherwork, jewelry, lapidary art, photography, textiles, wood carving and much more will be displayed for sale! There will be music performances, food and magic shows for all to enjoy, as well as live demonstrations and a chance to meet the talented artists.

Farmers Markets

Shop locally and naturally and attend one of our weekly farmers markets in French Lick or Orleans to buy fresh produce! Sponsored by Orange County HomeGrown, they work to promote the small-town neighborly values, the natural forests, and the healthy family farms that make Orange County a great place to live. Also shop for plant starts, crafts, baked goods, woodwork, knitting and crocheting, meat and eggs.

Wilstem Pumpkin Patch

The annual pumpkin patch will be happening the entire month of October, starting on September 30th. Pick out a pumpkin and experience somepumpkinpatch (1).jpg other fun family activities amidst the fabulous fall foliage! Take a wagon ride through the pasture to see zebra and bison. Other activities include 40-foot rock climb wall, bungee jumper, corn box, bounce house, play house and expanded petting farm. Some activities require an additional fee.
