The French Lick Market will be in full swing with hand-made local items on Memorial Day Weekend. French Lick Market will kick off their season with punch, festive treats, and one-of-a-kind items made by local artisans.

For fresh produce and down home fun, head over to the Orange County HomeGrown Farmer’s Market. Join friends and neighbors as they sell locally grown produce and some delicious baked goods.

Swing by Wilstem Ranch to participate in an up-close and personal Elephant Encounter where you get to help wash and feed three African Elephants. Extend the safari fun at the ranch by feeding the giraffes! Also, don’t miss exciting zip-line and ATV fun all weekend at Wilstem Ranch!

Take a dip in Patoka Lake, or stay above water by renting a boat at Patoka Lake Marina. Join the fun of a Beach Bash at Patoka Lake. For a unique experience, stay in one of Indiana’s first floating cabins at Patoka Lake Marina and Lodging.

Big City Comes to Small Town French Lick

This Friday March 31st, Charlie McIntosh – native of Paoli Indiana, and the owner of ‘Amelia’s‘ in Indianapolis – is hosting a dinner at the Legend of French Lick, with the proceeds from the event benefitting the Lost River Market and Deli. He will be bringing big city Indianapolis to small town French Lick with some other big name restaurants from Indianapolis for this fundraiser. 

The Dinner by Charlie McIntosh has received many kind donations that will be featured during the evening including a whole hog to be roasted from Fischer Farms, beer and wine to be available for purchase from Black Acre & Bier Brewery and more! Dinner will be prepared by multiple top chefs of Indiana from the restaurants participating in the event from Indianapolis such as Milktooth, Smoking Goose, Amelia’s, Love Handle, and Bluebeard

To accompany all of the fun and excitement, a silent auction will be held featuring unique items and Lick Creek Band will also play that evening. 

 

The idea for this fundraiser began in Indianapolis and tickets are already selling quickly! Tickets are priced at $30 per person so hurry and reserve your spot now! Take part in this unique event benefiting the Lost River Market and Deli; as well as enjoy a great meal, listen to live music, and partake in a silent auction. Thompson Station

Marty Stuart and Connie Smith

On March 17th, this duo will be performing at conniesmith_martystuartFrench Lick Resort bringing their love for music to the same stage. Connie Smith has been delighting fans and fellow country singers with her perfect diction and extensive vocal range for decades. In 2012, she was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and she is a frequent performer at the Grand Ole Opry. Marty Stuart has been capturing and sharing life through country music for over four decades. He has gone on tour with Johnny Cash and played along side country legends Bill Monroe, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. 

Jamey Johnson

Jamey Johnson is bringing his country music to the French Lick Resort on March 18th. Noted as “one of the greatest country singers of jamey_johnson_concert_at_french_lick_resortour time” by the Washington Post, Johnson is known for the meaning and emotions his songs evoke. He is an eleven-time Grammy nominated singer-songwriter and has received critical acclaim for his music and song writing abilities. Johnson has performed with fellow country singers Willie Nelson, Emmylou Harris, Ray Price, Vince Gill, George Strait, Alison Krauss and Merle Haggard.

Kool & the Gang

Coming to the French Lick Resort on April 29th, Kool & the Gang is a show you definitely don’t want to miss. WHAT’S HAPPENING IN JANUARY

Maddie and Tae.pngJust a few weeks into the New Year, country singing/songwriting duo Maddie & Tae bring their country hits to the French Lick Resort on January 20th. The duo’s debut album, Start Here, was released in 2015 making the Billboard Top 200 and hitting number two on the country charts. Head this way to Visit French Lick West Baden where all kinds of relaxation and activities await for you and your family. French Lick Resort is gearing up for spring breakers all ready and you can view their schedule of activities here! Big Splash Adventure Indoor Water Park and Hotel is also preparing for the fun, and is offering an overnight stay, two day water park passes and free breakfast.

All outdoor activities like zip-lining and ATV rides will also be happening in full force. On March 16th the French Lick Scenic Railway kicks off their season with The Wizard of Oz train ride as well as their 1:00pm train ride.

To end the month of March on a high note, French Lick Resort will be hosting two amazing concerts. Marty Stuart and Connie Smith will be bringing their country hits to the town on March 17th and the very next day, country music artist Jamey Johnson will also be taking the stage.
